Progress Report

NOTE:  Shortly after Christmas, Amira and her roommate Judy -- taking advantage of their extended semester break and their temporary proximity to that part of the world -- flew from Paris to Copenhagen, Denmark.  Railpasses in hand, they intend to ignore the overarching fact that it is winter and see the all of the Scandinavian sights they can in three weeks.  Here is an email that we received just yesterday (1/5/07) from Oslo (we think)...

omg i just wrote you guys a huge ass email tehn i tried to spell
check it and it disappeared!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm, really sorry , and
pissed off at this dumb ass norwegian computer so i can't write that
whole thing again. i'll write another
email later.

amira

This is the CPU of the "dumb ass norwegian computer" that Amira used to write the above email.  Technician, Level IV, Lars L. Larson is in his ninth hour of his effort to ascertain just what the hell is wrong with the system's Spell Check program.

This is a side view of the the same equipment.  After 12 hours of investigating all of the possibilities, it was decided to reboot -- a process that takes 27 hours (and is still going on)!

Stay tuned for more on this and other topics of Nordic interest from Amira (if rebooting actually works)....
