Back in the summer of 1995, RJM, using the full power and capabilities of a then-sophisticated software program called Family Newsletters for Dummies -- the first in a subsequently long line of Dummies' publications, the most recent of which are Breathing for Dummies, Walking for Dummies, and Sleeping for Dummies -- churned out a four-page pacesetting piece, which he dubbed The Hackliner.  It was this very prototype that paved the way for today's astonishingly brilliant web-based HackFester that we all know and cherish (when we have time)....
