For the second time this season, Baltimore and surrounding area has been dumped on with another record snowfall.
So what's the big deal over some snow? A lot if you live south of the Mason - Dixon line, where one rarely sees these amounts.
The whole mess began on Thursday afternoon, February 4, and finally subsided early Saturday.
Uncle Richie forwarded these amazing photos of the storm of this young century, or at least storm of the week.
In this amazing shot, the 40 foot tree shown is nearly buried. Just kidding. The tree is only about 8 - 10 feet high. Nice shot, though.
Here you see the full wrath of the storm, dropping snowflakes the size of Texas Ruby Red grapefruit.
Thankfully no one was hurt in the taking of this photo.
In this shot you can clearly see exactly what hit Maryland - snow, and lot's of it.
In the aftermath nothing was visible except large piles of frozen flakey precipitation.
This subcompact is streamlined into a Prius-like form, with snow piled nearly a foot high on the outside mirror, and
the tire is barely visible.
After hours of back breaking, heart straining snow pushing, a clear path to nowhere was finally opened.
While BaltiMarions grumble and scoff at climate change, global warming, and such nonsensical notions, we in the rusty
snowbelt north of Ohio have barely had to bother fetching our shovels from the shed.
All that may change as the first dumping of snow this season is due late Tuesday with the forecast calling for up to 30 centimeters, which is 12 inches on the conversion chart. Stand by...RJM/JPM
